{Apple Muffins} – Muffins cu mere

  • 400g faina
  • 1 1/2 lingurita praf de copt
  • 1/2 lingurita sare
  • 150g unt la temperatura camerei
  • 150g zahar
  • 1 plic zahar vanilat
  • 200ml lapte
  • 3 mere potrivite ca marime
  • 1/2 lingurita scortisoara
  • zeama de la o lamaie
  1. Merele se curata de coaja si samburi si se taie cubulete. Se stropesc cu zeama de lamaie si se amesteca cu scortisoara. Se dau deoparte cat pregatim aluatul.
  2. Untul la temperatura camerei se spumeaza cu zaharul si zaharul vanilat. Se adauga rand pe rand cele 3 oua, mixand bine dupa fiecare ou adaugat. Faina se cerne cu praful de copt si sarea si se incorporeaza in crema de unt si ou, alternand cu laptele (se incepe si se termina cu faina). S
  3. Se incorporeaza jumatate din cantitatea de mere in aluat, restul pastrandu-l pentru a presara deasupra fiecarei prajituri.
  4. Se aseaza hartiute de muffins in tava speciala, se umplu 2/3, se presara deasupra cateva cubulete din merele ramase si se coc la 180C pana trec testul scobitorii si se rumenesc usor.
  5. Se servesc pudrate cu zahar.
  6. Merele pot fi inlocuite cu alte fructe, precum pere,visine, cirese etc.

Ingredients:
  • 400g plain flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 150g butter (room temperature)
  • 150g sugar
  • 200ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 medium size apples
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • juice from one lemon
  1. Peel and core the apples, then slice them into thin slices. Mix them with the lemon juice and cinnamon and set aside while you’re making the batter.
  2. Cream the butter with the sugar until pale and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Sift the flour with the salt and baking powder then incorporate it into the batter, alternating it with the milk (add the vanilla extract into the milk). Start with flour and finish with flour. In the end, fold in half of the apple quantity, keeping the rest for topping each muffin.
  3. Line your muffin pan with special muffin papers, then fill each muffin cup 2/3 with batter. Arrange on top of each muffin some apple slices and bake them all in a preheated oven at 180C until they pass the toothpick test.
  4. Dust them with sugar when cold and serve.
  5. You can replace apples with pears or any other fruit you like.
