Se simte ca vin sarbatorile – ninge de cateva zile, luminitele stradale au fost aprinse, magazinele sunt pline de decoratiuni iar eu am inceput sa-mi sortez retele de Craciun. Si cum nu ratez nicio ocazie pentru a testa retete noi, iata ca va prezint astazi aceste fursecuri aromate si incredibil de usor de facut. Piciul meu, care e un mofturos la mancare, rontaie la aceste fursecuri de azi dimineata ceea ce inseamna ca sunt excelente. Neaparat sa le incercati!

Fursecuri cu citrice

Ingrediente
 

  • 135 g unt moale
  • 100 g zahar alb
  • 1 lingurita coaja de portocala
  • 1 lingurita coaja de lamaie
  • 1 ou
  • 1 lingura lapte
  • 1 lingura zeama de lamaie
  • 200 g faina
  • 1/2 lingurita bicarbonat
  • 1/4 lingurita sare

Instructiuni

  • Preincalziti cuptorul la 180C si tapetati doua tavi cu hartie de copt.
  • Cerneti faina cu sarea si bicarbonatul.
  • Mixati untul si zaharul pana obtineti un amestec cremos, cel putin 3 minute.
  • Incorporati coaja de portocala si de lamaie, apoi adaugati oul si mixati bine.
  • Adaugati faina si mixati doar pana la incorporare.
  • Transferati aluatul intr-o punga de patiserie cu varf rotund si formati mici gramajoare de aluat in tavile deja pregatite.
  • Decorati fiecare fursec cu o fasie de coaja de portocala si coaceti 15-20 minute pana marginile devin usor aurii.
  • Lasati fursecurile sa se raceasca in tava inainte de a le transfera intr-o cutie sau borcan de fursecuri.

You can tell Christmas is coming – the lights are on in town, it’s been snowing for the last few days, the shops sell Christmas decorations for a few weeks now and well.. I’m lining up my cookie recipes and planning my gingerbread house. This gives me the perfect excuse to try out some new cookie recipes and I have to tell you from the start that this particular recipe was a hit – my son, who’s such a picky eater, keeps chewing on these cookies since I made them and that can only mean one thing – they are delicious! And so easy to make!

These citrus wafer cookies are a mix between a crisp cookie and a buttery sponge. The edges turn slightly crisp, but the center remains soft and fluffy, fragrant and delicious. I’m thinking to tweak the recipe slightly in the future and add some poppy seeds into the batter for an extra texture, crunch and flavor. Either way, these wafer cookies are a great treat and they will proudly sit on your Christmas dessert table!

{Citrus Wafer Cookies}

Olguta – Pastry Workshop

Ingrediente
 

  • 135 g butter (softened)
  • 100 g white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • Orange peel to decorate

Instructiuni

  • Preheat your oven to 350F – 180C and line two baking sheets with baking paper.
  • Sift the flour with baking soda and salt.
  • Combine the butter and sugar in a bowl and mix until creamy, at least 3 minutes.
  • Stir in the orange zest, lemon zest and egg and mix well.
  • Add the milk and lemon juice then fold in the flour.
  • Spoon the batter into a pastry bag fitted with a round nozzle then pipe small cookies on your prepared baking sheets. Decorate each cookie with orange peel.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges begin to turn golden brown.
  • Let them cool in the pan then store in an airtight container.
