One of the easiest sponge cake recipes I’ve tried so far, yealding a great sponge cake, suitable for every cake you have in mind
Ingredients:
- 5 eggs
- 150g sugar
- 120g plain flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 80g butter, melted and cooled down
Directions:
- Break the eggs (we’ll use whole eggs) in a bowl, add the sugar and start whipping the whole mixture until it becomes creamy, fluffy and it changed colour into pale yellow. It should also have three times more volume than at the beginning. Be patient, this mixing will take a while.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and fold it into the batter, using a spatula. Fold it in gently, you don’t want to deflate the batter.
- Last, but not least, is the butter. Just pour it over the batter and gently fold it in, making sure to scrape the bottom of your bowl as the butter tends to sink.
- Add the vanilla and pour the batter into a prepared pan, then bake at 180C until it passes the toothpick test.
- Allow the sponge to cool down completely before slicing.

O reteta de blat simpla si tare aromata. Singurul inconvenient ar fi timpul necesar mixarii, intrucat ouale intregi se vor mixa mai greu, insa rezultatul e pe masura.
Ingrediente:
- 5 oua
- 150g zahar
- 120g faina
- 1/4 lingurita praf de copt
- 80g unt topit si racit
- vanilie
- Puneti ouale intregi intr-un vas impreuna cu zaharul si mixati-le pana isi tripleaza volumul, devin pufoase si isi schimba culoarea intr-un galben pai. Inarmati-va cu rabdare caci va dura ceva pana ouale vor fi perfect batute.
- Cerneti faina cu praful de copt si incorporati-o in compozitia de oua, cu miscari usoare, de jos in sus.
- La final, adaugati untul si amestecati usor pana e complet incorporat. !! Atentie la unt, caci tinde sa se lase la fundul vasului/bolului in momentul in care il turnati peste aluat.
- Turnati blatul in tava tapetata cu hartie de copt si coaceti la 180C pana trece proba scobitorii.
