{Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce}
  • 200g white sugar
  • 50g butter, room temperature
  • 125ml heavy cream, hot
  • 2g salt
  1. Make a dry caramel: add part of your sugar in the hot pan. Wait until golden brown then lower the heat and add gradually the remaining sugar, stirring well after each addition.
  2. When the sugar has a deep amber colour, add the butter to stop the cooking process. Mix well.
  3. Start adding the hot heavy cream, gradually. Add the salt at this point too.
  4. Mix until the sauce looks shiny and smooth.
  5. Transfer the sauce into a clean bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and chill.
