{Vanilla Pancakes} – Clatite americane cu vanilie

When I was a kid my mum used to make French crepes all the time, never American pancakes. IČve only discovered them recently and I have to say that it was love at first sight.Ā They are perfect served with honey, fresh fruits, walnuts, whipped cream, ice cream or whatever your sweet tooth craves for. They are quite similar to sponge cake, except all the hassle with turning your oven on and baking. It’s a versatile recipe so feel free to experiment with toppings. And don’t forget that that batter can be customized too. Fruits or chocolate chips added into the batter turn them into real delicacies!
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- 120g flour
- 140ml milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 dash of salt
- vanilla
- First of all, separate the yolks from the whites. Mix the yolks with the sugar, milk, vanilla, baking powder and flour. Whip the whites with a dash of salt until the stiff peaks stage. Gently fold the egg whites into the batter.
- Heat a non stick pan on medium heat, add a drop of oil, then pour 3-4 tablespoons of batter. Fry each pancake 2-3 minutes on each side or until it turns nice and golden.
- Serve with honey, fresh fruit, icecream, dulce de leche, caramel, jam..the sky is the limit š You can also mix some berries in the batter or even chocolate chips… anything works as long as you like it.

Reteta de azi vine cumva tocmai de peste ocean si e vorba de clatitele americane, pufoase, usoare ca fulgul, delicioase de nu te poti opri din mancat, minunate scaldate in miere sau sirop de artar. Adaugati si ceva fructe proaspete si un praf de zahar pudra si obtineti un desert decadent, potrivit chiar si pentru mai mofturosi. E mic-dejunul preferat al Americanilor si sincera sa fiu ii inteleg perfect. Cui nu i-ar palcea sa isi inceapa ziua intr-un mod asa de placut?!
Ingrediente:
- 3 oua
- 120g faina
- 140ml lapte
- 1 lingurita praf de copt
- 2 linguri zahar
- 1 praf de sare
- vanilie
- Separati albusurile de galbenusuri. Amestecati galbenusurile cu zaharul, laptele, vanilia, praful de copt si faina.
- Bateti albusurile spuma cu un praf de sare, apoi incorporati-le usor in aluat, cu miscari usoare, de jos in sus.
- Incingeti on tigaie pe foc mediu, ungeti cu un strat subtire de ulei, turnati cateva linguri de aluat astfel incat sa aibe o forma cat de cat rotunda si lasati pe foc 1-2 minute pana incep sa apara bule de aer la suprafata. Folosind o spatula, intoarceti clatita si mai lasati cateva secunde pana se maroneste frumos.
- Puteti chiar sa incorporati in aluat cateva fructe proaspete, de la mere la fructe de padure.
- Serviti cu miere, sirop de agave, de artar, fructe proaspete, inghetata, dulceata, caramel…orice va pofteste inima š
